NAHSE Educational Conference

The 37th Annual Educational Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, October 12 – Friday, October 14, 2022, at the New Orleans Marriott in New Orleans, Louisiana. The theme for the conference is Advance. Develop. Elevate: Reimagining the Future. NAHSE’s mission is to promote the advancement and development of healthcare leaders of color, and demonstrate a commitment to elevating the quality of health care services rendered to minority and underserved communities.

The NAHSE Educational Conference is one of the premier events for healthcare leaders in the country with representatives from all sectors of our dynamic industry. The expected audience will be a diverse group of healthcare professionals including senior executives, mid-careerists, early careerists, and graduate students representing over 200 healthcare organizations across the United States and abroad. Over 1,000 members are expected to attend. Additionally, the 37th annual conference will host the 27th Everett Fox Student Case Competition where graduate students from universities and colleges across the U.S. compete by developing solutions to a management case designed by Ochsner Health.

This year’s sessions will address the need to transition from “Disruptive Innovation” to a state of Reimagining the Future. The focus will explore the evolving areas of the healthcare industry to provide attendees with solutions, strategies, and ideas on how to drive organizational growth and future state ideas that can be implemented in your own organization. The conference has several dynamic speakers, which include Dr. Ivor Braden Horn – Goggle, Dr. Kadar Mate – Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), and a new engaging Entrepreneurship Forum and Payor Forum. Returning this year is the acclaimed CEO/Senior Executive Track and the popular Public Policy Forum where Dr. Thomas A. LaVeist, Dean of Public Health at Tulane University, will serve as Keynote Speaker. Additionally, we are excited about the Young Professional Development Forum that will provide thoughts and ideas to help nurture and develop leaders of the future. In addition to the rich content of the conference, we hope that all attendees will partner with us in the community service event on Saturday morning.

Our industry has experienced a global pandemic over the past two years that continues to impact our communities. As healthcare leaders move forward, we must address risks to improving clinical performance, healthcare equity, attracting and keeping critical talent, delivering on the promise of patient satisfaction, improving employee efficiencies while increasing revenues, and producing sustainable enterprise growth. This 37th Annual Educational Conference will present opportunities to learn from such vibrant events, while networking with a diverse group of healthcare professionals including CEOs, Senior Executives, physician and nursing leaders, mid/early careerists, and graduate students.  We are confident you will find the NAHSE 37th Annual Educational Conference to be stimulating and rewarding. Join us in the exciting city of New Orleans as we fulfill the mission and theme of NAHSE to Advance. Develop. Elevate: Reimaging the Future
